CountMyTill is a simple coin and note counter. You can use it without an account.

Counts and shift history

Your quantities, cash totals and saved shifts stay in this browser’s local storage. They are not sent to our statistics database. Your selected currency is remembered locally. Clearing site data, switching browser or using another device will not preserve your saved counts.

Visit statistics

Basic statistics start automatically when you open the counter. We do not use analytics cookies or save tracking identifiers in your browser. A random visit identifier exists only in the open page’s memory. Reloading, opening another tab or returning after 30 minutes without recorded activity creates a new visit. We cannot use these statistics to recognise returning people across visits.

We record page opens, visible-page activity, completed shifts, resets, opening history, currency codes and a count of app errors. Events contain a random event identifier and server timestamp, but no cash amounts, quantities, names, email addresses, location, screenshots or error-message text. Active sessions means activity recorded within the last five minutes, not an exact count of people online.

Activity older than 90 days is removed as new activity arrives. Earlier versions used opt-in browser identifiers; those identifiers are no longer created or accepted, and old records expire under the same retention period.

To limit automated abuse, we briefly store a keyed, changing identifier derived from the network address and request counts. Raw network addresses are not stored in our statistics database. These limit records are cleared as new requests arrive after their two-minute window.

Your choice

You can turn visit statistics off here. Only this preference is saved on your device; your counter and saved shifts are unaffected. A previous “No thanks” choice is kept. We also respect your browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting. Turning statistics off stops new events; it does not automatically delete events already received.

Hosting and owner access

The site is hosted using OpenAI Sites. The hosting platform processes requests needed to deliver the website and may maintain its own operational logs. The owner dashboard runs locally on the owner’s PC. A private server credential lets it read aggregate statistics; that credential is never sent to a visitor’s browser. Public counter visitors do not need to sign in.

What this tool does

CountMyTill adds the cash you enter. It does not verify your physical count, reconcile sales, or calculate profit. AI scanning is coming soon.
